Why Is The Spl Game Getting So Weak?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've always found it same that first year students will go against 10-year pros in DB Drag ... the nature of our competition, yes, but it SHOULD it be like this? Not necessarily ...
As for sponsorships and shops ... this is before my involvement, so I know nothing about it, but my understanding would be that you'd have to prove yourself first before anyone comes knocking. So if you put up consistent (and BIG) numbers on a regular basis, MAYBE somebody will come knocking. Then again, this is 2010.
More exposure as well ... we need to make the transition from "Love my system" to "Want to compete with my system"
I mention "I'm going to a car show" to somebody and they're like "Oh Dark Nights?" and I'm like "No, a car audio event" and then the next question is "What's that?"
I know what a drag strip is and I know where to find them ...
I know what drifting is and I can probably find it as well ...
But when it comes to car audio, how come nobody can find us (or even know what it's all about?) ... is this something bigger than US (competitors) even ... probably, but it's something to consider in the entire equation.
I just think more people, regardless of the competition level, is a good thing across the board. We've seen "Newbies" and nobody's become serious (even wannabe) competitors so ... I just look at least season and how many are trying to turn it around for this season ... this turn over needs to happen every-single-year.

I wasn't around for cspl but I keep hearing it was the shiz, so maybe whoever was in charge of that may want to team up with som db drag guys and copy their rules, sort of keep the scene going...in...Canada....? and of course by Canada I mean Toronto
I think vets need to step up. When I started what made it fun for me was meeting the guys with the systems to beat those guys where friendly gave me tips. For example I beat a guy that had 4 12" subs and all he new was that I had 2 10" when he lost he was like how is this possible I explained some thing to him showed some of my system to him. At the next show he was back same gear but new box and got second. The loud guys in the sport I think they need remember they were there once.
gotta look harder. there is a whole SQL format, not just a class. it's called Psychlone.
If you want more people to show up than make some cheap/quality $10 shirts that have cool car audio photoshops on them, I'd buy 4. Not just those multicolored dB drag shirts with only writing & locations on them, something really clear either real or photoshopped like major flex or a rearview being blurred. There should be a first timer class without a fee and free shirts or hats are handed out for the winner. I wonder how many people go and don't enter just because there's a fee and they know their stereo isn't loud. For psychlone what class is 8 walled/sealed 12's on 2400w? Can I or someone setup an event at a dB drag? Never even heard of it.
Psychlone rules, what is a B-pillar? Does that mean I can't use my backseat wall? It wouldn't consider it permanently installed unless it was in the trunk and bolted down?
1-6 Installation
•All auto sound equipment must be permanently installed within the vehicle and shall not interfere with the normal use of the passenger compartment. (The area in front of the B-pillars.)

good idea. who's paying for the shirts?
what is a multi coloured db drag shirt? what location is on it? honestly i've never seen anything like that.
i see you are from hamilton, hamilton has some of the biggest events every year. im shocked you never been to a db drag event. they do it in combination with a sick car show, there is atleast a 100-120 cars there every single time.
how would you know if there are cheap $10 car audio shirts if you don't know that hamilton has some of the best shows of the season. there could have been shirts just like that given away for free!
