well he's got equal amount of positive and negative 1/0 goin to the back of the VW Jetta... 4 awg chassis ground and a fender ground also... 4 awg for the alternator and some 8 awg probabaly for his highs amp

the 4 gauge to the chasis provides a ground for other electrical systems in the car, while the 0 gauge is strictly for the amps... there is no need to go bigger on the alt to batt, b/c stock alt only puts out 90 amps and the 4 gauge is about 3 feet long.

not sure if u like to blow your self up but my question is (your distro thing u have ) do the connection touch the frame ?? cause if it does then its like a time bomb
