12" sub suggestion for sq/spl?

looking to have a clean system that has some clean punch, im not looking to spend more then 300 on the sub woofer. i do like the sound of a w6V2, but i was wondering if theres anything more DIY that anyone could suggest? i ended up using maddisound for my components, so i figure they might have something that could compete with the JL w6v2?

perhaps?

It's going to be hard to find a better allround sub then the W6. It sounds great and has good output. I can't think of any DIY subs that can compete.

Out of those two I would take the Peerless - hands down. Did you check Solen to see what their pricing is on that unit? There's no point in paying excessive duties and other crap when you don't have to.

Best,
Mark
