....... I have 30 lbs of lead shot I would love to get rid of let me know if you want to pick up any on the way to Daytona I also have about 20 lbs of duct seal too (great for getting rid of that last second buzz or rattle.

I think it is a nice build, but the proof is in the listening and you wont be happy till it performs as you expected it to. I think last years build was pretty stout and this one needs to raise the bar for you to be happy so lets get tuning!

Thanks John. Your Midbass comments at Daytona really resonated with me after I came back. I tried the L6 a month later, which was a great success. I still wanted to try the L8s again with more attention to how the cabinet is designed. Lets hope I get the midbass output that I want. I know the L8s are capable of great midbass.

The speaker Midrange/Tweeter layout if roughly the same so I have a very good idea what to expect.

You are very correct John. It comes down to the tuning.

Will you be there again in your Red shirt

I have not been invited to work Daytona this year so no red shirt this year but I could come down and scope it out for giggles

right now I have been sick (respiratory infections and sinus infection) and my hearing isnt up to Judging for now anyway

The L8 is a current fan fav, and I haven't heard anything to discredit it. Eventually I will be buying a Clarius as they sound pretty good too.

The ring driver has thrown a long shadow, so I hope it is half as good as the hype (I am using the original L1 and am quite satisfied... it is not the best tweeter I own, but it is the right one for the current build)

Yes and we found the problem afterwards. The kick panels vent to them themselves. It got maybe 1 cu.ft of air space. So venting outside was the only appropriate solution!

The battery wiring certainly appears functional......but it could be a little prettier.

I'm not bagging on it, just an observation. Symmetry, complimentary angles, stuff like that.

Paul, I see you point...changing the OEM wiring to the battery for looks wasn't on the to do task list or needed.

I agree. It's not going to garner any extra points. I move my stock wiring to the sidepost locations and it's all just plain loomed wire with crimped ends.
