5 volts output

Is it necessary to have 5 volts output if you don't have any noise? I wanted to illiminate my front EQ that has 1.4 volts to get at least 5 volts everywhere. But I really like my EQ. Do you guys think it would help to remove it or i shouldn't matter?

I would say if your happy keep it that way. More voltage doesn't mean better all the time.

However, try removing it from the chain and see how it sounds without the EQ. You will have to re-adjust your gains on the amplifier though.

^^^ What he said. I don't think it will make any difference with noise. Copper chassis or lack thereof on a deck will make more difference.
