Only problem for some with the prs deck is that it can only do 3 way... so either 2 way active plus sub or 3 way front no sub.

Pretty sure you could run a sub of the other amp that's running the three way . That amp would have to have a LP filter of course, but as long as it gets a signal?

You would lose TA for the subs but not for the mid-bass since. The TA would or should I say "should" still function because you're running 3-way active through the 880PRS and then running a signal only for the subs of the other amp. As far as the deck is concerned you only have a 3-way system, not 4-way. You could turn the gains right down on the subs while running your TA for the 3-way, then once completed you could set your gains manually for the subs after. To have TA for subs is actually not a big advantage as I have yet to see the benefit. I haven't actually tried this, but on paper certainly should work.

Yes you can still TA the midbase just not the sub as you said and the sub will still work. If you don't think TA for your sub is not important then that's your choice and I am sure many will disagree.. for the quest in ultimate reproduction and stage... Of course many don't have T\A at all and live with it. Nothing wrong in trying.

Most people in your situation run the first pair of rca outputs to a component set, the 2nd pair takes care of dedicated midbase, and the 3rd pair for subs. That way everything that needs TA gets it (Basically tweeters are the ones who require T\A the least in a system).

I am simply providing an alternative to spending $1200 on an HU capable of that kind of processing 4-way that is, or seperate processing all together. A sub is non directional so to TA it doesn't make that much sense to me, although in my active 2-way system now I have my subs TA'ed. I found little difference between TA on the subs and my previous system in the same vehicle without TA on the subs but with the subs pointing up in the trunk, I have a 2001 Jetta. I will be changing vehicles soon, so I will be redoing the entire system, just for ***** and giggles, and wanting to try new hardware and system setups.
