Alpine CDE-117

Alpine CDE-117
Just purchased a CDE-117 by Alpine. I am tuning my sound to like, and had some questions.
I am currently driving a set of 6.5 Type R Components with a Alpine MRP 240 which pushes 100x2 RMS to them. I have the amp set to HPF. The deck also has a HPF setting. Should I only have the AMP set to HPF, and the deck HPF set to OFF? Or have the amp HPF OFF, and deck HPF set to a hertz cut off? Or have both ON? Thanks, from my understanding, having to many HPF's on will cause sound issues or not sound precise. Thanks in advance.
I have my gains set to nominal and sound about right. I know my speakers can handle a bit of bass, and I was thinking 80 is a good level on the deck for HPF. Or just leave it off and keep the amp HPF on. The amp only has a switch and you cannot adjust the HPF slope, just HPF/OFF/LPF.
I forgot to add, I am running a TYPE R 10 inch, on a MRP-850. Gain set to nominal, hertz at about 60. I like a clean snappy bass VS muddy.

Personally I like to have the HPF on the amp turned on at something low, 60-ish. I think the factory setting on the Alpine is 80hz which is fine. Then it is up to you if you think it sounds better/worse/no different playing with the HPF on the deck.
I like to keep the one on the amp on so if someone inexperienced with the radio gets a hold if it (ie wife) they can't accidentally turn the only HPF off.
