Which amp to go with my Boston Acoustic G2 sub
I have 1 Boston Acoustic G2 c4ohm sub. Currently I have a MTX TC3001 running the sub, now the amp runs the sub decently, however with my car and the restricted areas for mounding an amp in it has me suffering from overheating issues, due to a low ventilation restriction. I know this isnt good for am amp. So i am seeking alternative amps. I have 2 options currently
Option 1:
JL Audio A1400
Option 2:
MTX Jackhammer 300 with active cooling
Now I am currently leaning more towards the MTX amp due to the active cooling the amp has built into it, which may help keep the amp cool in the restricted ventilation install.
however I am also somewhat leaning towards getting a cross flow cooling fan and perhaps grabbing the JLaudio amp and see if that will work as well. Seeing how the JL audio amp has a little more power it may not heat up as much running th BA G2?
What do you experts think? Or does anyone have any other amp options? I am not looking to spend a whole bunch, less than $200 on a different setup....
Thanks!
