Best car for SQ?
#1
ok, may seem like a dumb question, but is there a "best" car for SQ? I have to get a new car soon, and I want to compete SQ for the 2006 year, anyone have any sugestions? large cars? small cars?

There really is no best car for SQ, especially compared to SPL. What you need to do is figure out what you want to put in and find a car that can hold it. Generally you don't want a really wide car, or a car with a huge center console. The more symetrical the better.

dwvw is right, get the lowest console, many different types of vehicle s win championships every year, it will all come down to proper application of the gear you get,,i bought my neon to do a sq car with, i liked the dash and very low console, wasnt to hot on the doors but made some radical changes to correct what i didnt like about them, its been said many times here, install, install, install, get great gear, apply it in the optimum way and you will win the finals, i promise, just kidding

The gear I'm hoping to get is as follows, (if it helps) DLS Iridium 6.5" front stage, IDQ 8" for midbass, and an IDmax 12 for sub bass. Along with the DLS R6 componants that I have now for rear fill. with MTX amplifiers, to match what I already have.
I was thinking of the new malibu maxx, small centre console, not too wide, lots of space as well.
any thoughts?

I agree with everything posted the install is the key.
I have been looking and right now for SQ I like the Scion B, the Crown Vic (2 guys this week said Lumina... it wouldn’t be new that’s for sure). Take a look and see the possibilities for dash, a-pillar, kicks, door etc. I would also say cars that are naturally quiet and well insulated or at least tight (no wind, road or engine noise). All cars get noisier as they age so new is better from that point of view
