x2 - if I wasn't a Focal nut - GTi 15" or 12" would be in my trunk!

you could do a single Kicker 12" L7 for around the $400 mark, I have 2 of them and they sound really good, I listen to everything except gangstar music...

I would get something like 1 Fi Q series 15" sealed. It will sound amazing on everything u play. and is in your price range. go to fi's forum and u can read more on the q series subs.

lol.. ya I change my mind a lot to
but I'm wondering if one 15" in a sealed box would give me tight bass? I know it would be loud enough but.. since it's a 15" would it be sloppy you think?

if you're asking that question, then I'm willing to bet that, yes, it will be "sloppy".

that's what I thought.. so I'd be better off with one good 12" in a sealed box I guess?.

He likes rock music the FI 15" or just about any fifteen will not be the best choice for his music. If your on a budget 2 ten's (price and space especially in a sealed box) is probably your best choice. 12's are ok but they tend to be better for lower bass that's more related to rap and hip hop.
