Hi, I realize you all know everything more about this that I do, so that's why I am here.

I have an oppurtunity to purchase a set of Focal 165 K3P's. The 6"/6"/ tweeter combo.

Problem is I listen to everything from rap to Three Days Grace, and I am wondering what you would recommend, if it was your stereo, for subs and amplifers.

I will be putting the Focals up from in my S10 Xtreme, and 2 12" subs in the extendcab behind the seats. Price is not a concern, but I want quality, I want it loud at times, and I want it to hit hard. I will not be in any competitions, but that doesn't matter. Clean clear accurate subs that hit low.

Please don't recommend junk like kicker, rockford, etc. I am relying on your expertise. Please help. Thanks

I havent heard the K Power stuff in a vehicle but I have the Utopias myself. They arent your traditional speaker in terms of being that screaming loud force to them. But what you do gain right away is great tonality. Also if im not mistaken the tn52 tweet is suppose to be a little less bright than the tn51 in the utopia set. As Whaker said you wont regret going Focal but it all will depend on your budget for the whole system

snag the combo, you won't be dissapointed.
If budget was not a concern, a pair of KX by focal can blow your mind!

I am running a k2p setup using the k3p midbass and the four/one inch component set. It sounds awesome. Right know I don't have the midbass crossed very low as my doors rattle a lot but I will get that fixed and drop them down a bit more.
I am using a single 33kx in the trunk and it is loud, low and accurate. A pair would be amazing as stated above. If you use the focal subs, don't be afaid to give them a ton of power. I am feeding mine around 800watts without any problems.

I don't know much about Kicker; however, the new Power Series from Rockford (T5002) is one of the best amps I have heard is a very long time. Furthermore, you are living in an era when there very little bad audio products on the market. Keep an open mind... who knows... you may actually learn something.
