Decent 12" SQ sub

Hi guys,

i am looking to inquire a new SQ orientated woofer, preferbly a Zapco I-12D.

My budget should be 4-500$, and i would like to keep a 12" woofer, or 2 if it will fit my budget.

My car is under my car domain, i would like the subs to be able to handle a decent volume, while keeping it clean.

thanks.

avi sls300, i kno a guy selling 2 barely used 8ohm for 400 hundred for the pair, they are usually 450-500 each

8 ohm each?

meaning a 4 ohm load total, or are they dvc?

I would have to run my amp at 4 ohm, give about 4-600watts for the pair, is that plenty?

IDQ's all the way. They can easily take tons of power but are also efficient enough that you don't need 1200 watts to make them sound good. A 12' can sound good & loud with a pure 300 watts rms .

What amp are you using?

bensta 07-17-2006 10:00 PM

crossfire BMF1000D

how much does a ID max cost..? roughly.

Hardwrkr 07-17-2006 10:27 PM

IDMax 12" is roughly $400 plus tax. It would an excellent choice.
Or a pair of IDQ 12's or 15's would be good also. Depends how loud you want it to get and how much space you have to work with.
OZ Matrix Elite is on par with the IDMax in SQ and output and can sometimes be found for a bit cheaper.

hm, i was strongly considering a I-12D

i wanna hear some, but no shops carry it locally.

guess ill have to make a rough decision..

im leaning to the zapco due to my club members using their gear with great results.
