decent sq system with coaxials

hey folks, do you think it's possible to build a half decent system (just for personal use) incorporating coaxials as your main front drivers? i was looking at Hertz high energy coaxials, any other brands out there that could be considered? want to have nice clean reasonably loud system and want to keep it real simple. all ideas are welcome. i have lots of old school kicker amps to use and a newer clarion deck (dxz955mc). system is going in my 2000gmc sierra extended cab.

thanks the duce

Yes it can be done, Hertz and Focal are going head to head these days and both are great speakers. Good sound is in the ear of the beholder, my ears prefer Morel far and above either of the previously mentioned lines. Is your door panel up front the simple panel for only a mid or does it also have the grill for the tweeter?

Were you thinking of a Component set too?

yup it's the one with the mid only location, that is one reason for the coaxials. plus i want to keep it looking stock for security purposes. doesn't morel make some coaxials? are they expensive?

The Morel speakers are actually quite reasonable. I just got a set of the coax speakers in the other day actually and strangely enough they fit your GM......and I am less than a hour away from you......hmmmm

No, I got them from Ross here on this forum and also got a Kicker 4ch amp, traded for a Canon SD600 camera that I didn't need.
