the system i purchased is directly from another member (3 amps, sub/box), and he happened to have the EQ in the trunk...

 

If your cd player already has 3 preouts, and chances are a higher output voltage than the eq, I would leave it out of the equation altogether. Only add an eq if it is to solve an identified problem in response or abilities (like the lack of a sub and rear preout for example).
