are you mounting the amps in the wedge area in the middle? looks like a sweet setup for looks
btw are you going for biscuit or dowel joints?

thats the intention, im gonna build up my rack tommorow, trim pieces down the sides, scribed to the walls of the truck
center console down the center (duh....) wiring mounted in behind
im intending to dowel on the wedge (ill have to create "wings" coming out from the existing box, but its a work in process

for my ranger its a single cab plus, i have useless sidways backseats i made a sealed box as large as i could and well it sounds great but i regret not being able to recline my seat when waiting for places to open or taking a nap at work, sinngle cab truck one type R is more then enough for sound quality, my opinion, the other thing i dident think about when i built my system was the jack for my truck it had a hiding spot in the rear corner where my box sat, that was a pain in the *** when a flat came around,

hehe yeah my jack is mounted in the center, but ive always got a milk crate in the back for tie downs, straps, etc, so its already been moved to the back, heres the issue, non symetrical bugs me, and i want to do a center console that connects into the enclosure at the back, so a single, just doesnt seem to fit the look im trying for, thanks for the reminder about the jack though..... maybe ill somehow build a spot for it in the center console

well you seem to have everything covered, everything desighned and figured out your about ready to start cutting and glueing after you desighn the measurements, keep a decent amount of space around your amps and i personaly never mount them fright to the box or floor, i always put spacers just 1/4 inch to lift amp off surface, extra air space will do nothing but good

hehe thats half the fun, all the cad drawings are done to spec, i know exact sizes, angles, etc for each piece, works keepning me busy this week, but im hoping to get the amp rack designed out tomorrow, is it worth running a fan (have it blow out to the floor), for my amps? or on such a small setup would it be a waste of time?

the only other problem is how im gonna wrap this sucker in vinyl, and that all my trim panels will clip in properly and hide any seams, unsightly spots etc, might have to do a little experimenting with compound curves, 2 way stretch vinyl, and how well the contact cement i have will hold on to the vinyl, only time will tell, lots of pictures when i get around to building
