Interesting.

As for the cling rap good to know, press and seal, maybe not so good for the dash, I remember that the resin didnt go through it but maybe it did a litte. Forget my crappy contribution.

this project looks like a fail to me.... why would you put those up on the dash? You better be real good at fabricating for it to look even half decent..... I would re-think your plan ...not trying to be a dick, just realistic.

But by all means ,prove me wrong, post pictures .I'll be watching .

Whats wrong with speakers on the dash?...might be more about the sound than the looks.

I dont mind the looks of mine.

Your original ones seemed to be fine. Do you still have them?

I guess 13 posts makes him a know it all - It's not for looks it's for sounds - It's by far not a FAIL - If you ask me that truck you dive is a FAIL in my eyes but hey - I'm entitled to my opinion just much as your are!

I've seen a number of installs with speakers on the dash and the only thing that can make it look bad is an inexperienced installer (like myself) just like anything else. Its not like he's throwing a 10" sub there. I'd say he's off to a good start.

Buddy, try not to hate too hard. Maybe you would like my other car or my 2 sportbikes or my boat? But probably not even though they all have systems. Anyway, I think speakers on the dash will sound like crap. Too close, hard to image etc., but maybe they will sound great, I doubt it though. Also, unless this guy is a master installer, it is going to look crappy compared to that nice , new interior. That's my OPINION. And what does the amount of posts have to do with my car audio knowledge? Really, I would like to know the correlation, or the relevence? Anyway, you proved your intelligence with one post.
But I am interested in this thread and will stay tuned cause maybe it will be great and I will learn a little sumptin ,sumptin.

I will admit, it's more than I am willing to try.... It took me damn near 3 days to do all the sound deadening in my truck... but I am old and meticulous, and slow. It was a 48 beer job...
