Hi all, wondering if I can get some advice here.

Looking for affordable 6.5" components that'll sound decent off a head unit's power. Less than $250 is good.

I had a full sound system setup before but sold it as it all the amps, sub, cap, etc were weighing my car down.. now I just want some more clarity and bass for my front speakers.

I know I should look for speakers with high sensitivity (> 91db). Anything else I should look for?

Thanks!

The Focal Access comps sounded really nice when I wired them up in a friend's truck off one of the Alpine high-power decks.....Real Nice!! (Just remember to sound deaden the door cavity & door panel).

Islandphile, thanks for the response!

I'll check those speakers out. My doors have been brown breaded to death already.. (probably about 30lbs in there! ) which is why I think I can get away with some beefier speakers instead of stock eventhough I'm just running of the deck power.

Another bonus is that I have a Pioneer P930 with that moffset power stuff so I should have about 2 watts RMS more than your other typical deck. Hahah..

Any other suggestions?

I'm wondering if I should go with low end speakers from high end brands (Focal, JL Audio, CDT, etc) or just mainstream brands (Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood). I had Focal Polykevlar 165K2 before.. I miss them.

Here they are:

Sensitivity is 92 dB so they will play with good volume even through adequate deck power.
