Is this a good deal?

Well, long story short my old system got stolen along with everything. My insurance gave me 1000$ spending money.

So i've been looking into better SQ rather than SPL...so a local guy told me he had this for sale...

Arc Audio XXK 1500.1 amplifier
A pair of Diamond 12" M6 d2 subwoofers (One of them is lightly used, one is brand new never seen power)

Says both for $950

What do you guys think? Good deal, or should I be trying to go lower?

Price is good..but in terms of SQ subs are way less important in the chain.

For sure, but since im doing a slow process in the switch and can't do it all at once - im just upgrading what I have funds for. Insurance gave me funds for sub/amp.

One day i'll find some better SQ speakers and an amplifier, but for now they'll remain as is.

I'm sure even just this upgrade over my old setup (x2 alpine type R 12" and a hifonics brutus 1200w amp) will sound much better in terms of bass.

I plan on making a sealed box for it, since I don't know the know-how to build a proper ported box. Sealed's are simple enough.

ask for some help on the forum, There's quite a few guys that would be more than happy in helping you design the optimum box for your car.
