Help with choosing equip on my first install-- subwoofers- FI Q 12" 2 of them
Hey guys, glad to be able to post here
So this is going to be my first install and i have decided on the subs I want.. 2 FI Q 12" wich are rated at 1000 rms a piece but can go up to 1500 rms a piece with a addon wich I am getting. First of all Should I get the Dual 1 version or the Dual 2?
second of all : What amp is good for this install? Right now Im thinking of a saz-2500d or AQ 2200D...any other recomendations? Which one shall I choose? I want to send around 1200 - 1500 TRUE rms to each sub so the amp will need to be tested and rated at around 2500 TRUE RMS muahah
third : I need a high output alternator for my car: where do i buy this? Do i also need a second batter?
4th: How do i do the big 3? what is the big 3?
5: what kind of box? ported or sealed? I want to to sound crisp and clear yet powerfull bass
thanks guys
im sure ill have more questions later lol

Your sub and amp choice are totally dependent on each other. If an amp is stable to 1ohm, putting a 2ohm load on it will decrease output. Putting a 1ohm load on a 2ohm amp could make smoke, or at least a protection light.
If amps are CEA rated, u can trust that they put out the power that they claim.
Def go with a second battery. Same type and size as main battery. Depending on the vehicle, HO Alta can be easy to come by. It's easier(and cheaper) to find the guts for GM alts, so retrofitting one of those may be an option.
Search big 3 upgrade on this site. There's a sticky with pics. Definitely a needed addition.
Box design and construction have a huge effect on output. Are u designing for more SPL or SQ? Manufacturers will have suggested volumes/types and a company like Fi may also help in suggested design.
Good luck.
