Im bot sure how much the JL's are but I found this to be a pretty good place for deals on Focal. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=31 11 $219.99US, plus our dollar is above par right now

To the OP,

I own a set of VR600-CSI components and have them installed in my Civic. They sound amazing, very detailed and warm. My wife even complemented me on how good they sounded. I chose them because they came with silk tweeters, which IMO sound better than metallics do. They have nice detail and are not too bright. The original tweeters in my car actually hurt my ears with certain high notes but I have never had any issues with these.

The only problem with the speakers is that they sound so good compared the the TR 6x9's I purchased that now I think I will need to upgrade those to get the same SQ. I also think I need to get an amp to power them properly. Anyways, I don't think you can go wrong with JL. At the $210US I paid for these speakers, I definitely think they were the right price.

Good luck!

Dude, why so bitter? I'm sure that wasn't the first time u've been called a goof before.

And btw... I'm not here to argue. I live in ottawa, and if I went into a car audio shop and asked to borrow some speakers to audition, they'd just laugh. How about instead of hating, offer advice. Nobody wants to listen to ur negativeness.

And don't even get me started on names.... goofy gumby...

Ive offered lots of advise, There should be 100 car audio shops in Ottawa, they should all have demo vehicles and such, or some should at least. I they don't want to demo their stuff for you then they won't be in business for to long... If they chose not to =help you then go elsewhere... Why don't you tell me how much you want to spend... Ill give you 3-4 options and you can start from there... You can realisticly count on both hands how many companys make nice sounding speakers, with high fidelity playback... so let us know how much you want to spend, alright!
