how big should speaker pods be?

how big should speaker pods be?

i have a 6.5 component set and i am looking to build pod for them today.i would like to have them fiber glassed in (eventually)but for now looking for i little more function than looks .i got some mdf from k-w surprise and try building them today any suggestions?

instll advice,what size i should try to make them exe....

you can model them up in modeling software to see what you give you most desired response, or you can look up the manufacturers recommended specs.

there are no spec for thes speakers(for encloses anyways)and i dont have any of the software(its on my other hard drive.being re built)

if its small it will be really tight snappy and responsive but may lack the lower end... if you will make it a bit bigger will give better bottom end and blend better with your sub bass... but alot depends what the frequency range is of you speaker set... if you make the enclosure/pod too big the speaker will become sluggish and muddy sounding and lack response and accuracy
