How much power is recommended for tweeters for sq setup

Got an Audison VRx 4.300 powering my active setup which consists of Focal K2P mids and TN-53 tweets amp currently running all 4 speakers

Gets really hot so i'm thinking mids not getting enough tweets probably not using most of what they get so i'm thinking of getting a small amp just for the tweets and bridging amp to 2 channel mode for the mids.

Should i do that ? And how much power do tweeters really need ?

I had audison LRX amps about 5 years ago. they got really hot and eventually cut out.
I returned/exchanged them for Alpine amps.
Im assuming these audison amps dont dissipate heat very well.
Use 1 amp for tweeters, and 1 for mids. That's what Im doing.

This is exactly what I did last week and it made a huge difference all around. The mid-bass came back to life and resolved some tuning issues that I was encountering. I am putting 50 watts rms per tweet and 180 per mid-bass driver.

50watts RMS per tweeter is all anyone would ever need for sure.

in an active setup you can use as much as you want. keep in mind it not always 200rms.

You can have 5000watts a driver if you want to get crazy about it. The OP just wants a small amp to augment his setup though and a 50wx2 RMS amp should be plenty.

I've used 20 watts/channel on the tweets (rated for 100 watts rms) with 120 watts to the mids with excellent results. In fact I still needed to attenuate the tweets a little (-3db) to blend better with the mids.

i run 75watts to my tweets, 150 to each of my 6.5s times 4 and 4000watts to my subs and everything is very balanced.... so is 50 to little is 200 to much... depends on the speakers the build, music content, ect.. but i like between 50-100 watts for tweets...
i really never want to underpower a tweeter as clipping eats them but two much power can always be tonned down to appropriate levels...
