How's this set-up? (Sub + Amp)

Question

This is what I'm thinking of... A single Alpine 1041D Type-R 10" subwoofer in a sealed enclosure with an Alpine MRP-200 amplifier powering it.

Sub: 300 watts RMS\1000 watts max

Amp: 150 watts RMSx1 @ 4ohms 200 watts RMSx1 @ 2ohms

Is the amp well suited to the sub? I know it's a little low on power, but is it too low?

I'd go with something that's at least 300 RMS ... 400 RMS would be best, though ...

150 isnt very much power most people would want more like 200-250watts rms.

so i would consider a larger amp, but if you dont want to play it stupid loud 150 should suit you well.

I just got that amp myself, built a sealed box for a 12" Cerwin Vega DVC-12
It sounds very good, but like he said "not stupid loud", but now I have to upgrade the stock speakers cause they are crapping out. Or I just have to adjust the Gain or something.

Get a ported box, and get the MRP-M350, 350w@2ohms, and is not much more expensive.

Friend has the exact same setup, and it's not bad but again, more power would be better.
