....and that's exactly what it is.....a little noise.

At first I thought it may be a ground, so I checked my connections, they were all good, I already upgraded my grounds anyway but I checked just to make sure.

Nope not the grounds....noise is still there.

I switched on my noise gate....it helped a little bit, but not much.

So I started from sqare one....I shut the system down and turned it on again...still there. Checked all my RCA's and the noise got a little bit smaller. But still there however.

Now being that I'm pretty good at problem solving and what not, I figured I'll turn the volume down on the deck ( denonford 8250) and the noise SHOULD still be there and then I can go through all the wiring and check everything out and still be able to hear the noise. This all sounds great up untill I turned the deck down........at volume 0 the noise go's away.

Now, once there's a hint of music playing, the noise comes back. But it doesn't get louder when the engine revs.

So, please, somebody explain to me what the hell is happening...I'm stumped.

I wonder if it is the laser transport that you are hearing. Is it a continuous sound that does not change in pitch and is present at all volume levels except 0?

From what I see you have some nice gear. Is there not a qualified troubleshooter in your area who can assist you?

Yeah Brandon I have to agree with Dereck...We need a full description of all components currently installed...love to help ya out but realistically need to know what where and how it's installed.

I've got the 8250 in the dash.

hooked directly to an Xtant 2140C that powers my front stage untill I can afford some better amps. From the Xtant there is an RCA output that feeds a Rockford amp of some kind....cant remember the model number, not that it really matters anyway. The Xtant is powering my Phase Linear 5.25's and Kicker Resolution tweets and they are crossed over using the POS Phase x-over.

The sub is a single CompVr 12. There is no Proccessing whatsoever at this point in time.....I have neither the patience or time to install my Behringer and I'm only running a 2 channel amp on my fronts so what's the point of using a 4 way active x-over? Not that I could anyway.

All wiring is Scosche and the RCA's are Scosche's top of the line Twisted Black Platinum RCA's.....a 20 footer and a 3 footer.

Now that you've revealed again, that I'm not actually using most of what's in my sig, how bout some actual words of advise instead of ridicule?

Exactly, except the last part...it starts when music is played ei: you can actually start to hear the music....then, when the volume get's turned down to the point that you cannot hear music, or very little...the noise is still there....but, when the volume hits zero, the noise goes away after a second or 2.
