Just a question what if I put a 1000 watts to them would I be abusing the subs and giving them a short life span or would they be ok?? I don't listen to music at high volume, once in a while maybe but in general no.

 

From what I know the W6's can take somewhere around 5 or 600 watts comfortably, so honestly you'd be fine with 1k to the pair, plus you can always back down the gain if you want. I don't understand why they give a minimum value for wattage, someone might buy a W7 but listen to it at a low volume, giving it maybe 100 watts, and I'm sure it won't die.
