Sq Judging is subjective. I was at Iasca world finals in 1999 and my car was judged by two teams of judges for SQ, i had two different scores from two teams of judges the same day? Thats why i quit competing in SQ if it sounds good to me thats all that matters. And I must agree with the above posts, if you look at a install and it looks incredible you will expect it to sound good to, same goes for the opposite.

Yeah.... Kinda like asking if caps are useful... Not trying to be an arsehole, but I can see strife in the future of that convo lol I don't put any wieght on the way the install looks vs how it sounds. I keep them seperate... And for some reason I'm attracted to systems that don't outwardly look like much, but are still top performers. Gotta love the sleepers

Any opinions on what the similarities or dissimilarities may be?
These two seem to go together... But somehow:

I don't see where the "IASCA champ Honda FIT" was mentioned... Maybe why Mahna Mahna suggested a new thread? Maybe you might actually get some answers to your questions. Here you're only going to find people looking for info on the IASCA champ Honda FIT and realizing they are in the middle of a convo involving judges and the way people wieght the visual presentation over the performance. If it were me, I wouldn't bother

Thanks for ruining my accomplishment and only seeing your point of view. No wonder the SQ scene is dying due to penisheads like you!

I don't think Dave's (Fudgetablet AKA Defro13) comments should in any way diminish the accomplishment. And yes it is the petty mean spirited like Dave that diminish the SPORT and make it very unattractive to be associated with.

Dave occasionally has issues with people, I think one of those people has worked on the Fit and by association Dave must now must diminish him via attacking the Fit. If this seems inappropriate it is because it is inappropriate. Dave is a great builder and a serious car audio guy who has forgotten a butt-ton more than most of us will ever learn about building car audio systems.

Why he chooses to diminish HIMSELF by being so petty is beyond me.

Why he goes back and forth on competition issues is another mystery.

Dave is a man who cares deeply about this odd little hobby, and I have held his opinions in high regard. Jules (Avidedtr) is relatively new to this and has made a grand splash. He has tasted stress, success, defeat, victory, anticipation, frustration, confusion and ultimately vindication. He does not simply buy a winner me molds and shapes the winner (with a little (sometimes a lot) of help) from a car not necessarily best suited for the task.

Kudos to all of you out there who DO things.
