Isn't the ID-One supposed to have some kind of Palm Pilot type thing to tune it?

I have an ID catalog somewhere...I'm pretty sure there ws something like that pictured with the ID-1.

It's kinda stupid though cause you gotta run a Windows program of some kind in order to run the program to tune the ID-1.....although, if the IDOne going to be what ID says it is....then it will be a very sweet unit....can't see spending over 2K us on it though....I doubt anybody will pay that anyway, and once Audiocontrol comes out with their DIN sized display/controller for thier DEQ I doubt anybody will bother with the ID One. Except of course in the ID demo car(s)

It has been coming out since 97, in fact a friend of mine ran the prototype of it in his T Bird in 97 at the IASCA Finals. It was a rack mount peice at that time, didn't even look like the "current" idea. </font>[/QUOTE]Actually that was a digital EQ that ID was planning on bringing to market.. It was a Pro audio yamaha piece and had id's name on it (same idea as there analog eq's/xovers). It was rack mount as you said, I could probably find a picture of it. Joe Amores prelude had one (I cant remember who owns the prelude now?) and also a mustang (Cant remember the owner?) had one. ID droped that idea for the IDone. Theres probably a dozen of these units floating around.

Actually i think i know whos t-bird your talking about.. At one finals, Richard clark helped to tune his car right?. From what richard has said (Can never really tell whats the truth with him HAHA) he said something about it being a pain in the *** to tune with that eq..

It wasn't the Yamaha piece, I had one in the Cop Car, this was the first generation prototype ID One designed by Femi and it isn't the T-Bird your thinking of. It was gold and the owner is asian and from Seattle.

I had a strong feeling when talking with Eric at IASCA finals in 2001 that the brains of the IDOne was actually a BSS366. It's a pro audio peice.

http://www.bss.co.uk/products/crosso...66t/index.html

Also the "controller" was an OEM software package that can be placed on a palm pilot and they just licensed the software and rebadged it. I can't find the link I used to have for it

ID did alot of re-branding /OEM stuff, and still does. It's the easiest and cheapest way to get new products out. And it's not just ID, Almost all do it.

Remember the Phoenix Gold Cyclone Woofer......not built or designed by them. I know because the compnay that does make it wanted MTX to buy it.
