Imaging Q

Have you tried lowering the level on the left using the balance?
Did you adjust your TA with the distance or by ears?
Before adding mids in the dash my staging was starting from under the window line on the left to reach the middle of the windshield in the center and going back at the window line at the right.
Our problem (minivan) is that the speakers in the doors are at our feet and our ears are far from them since we sit high. Like me, you will probably need to add some mids in the dash to bring the stage back up.

The doors have 2 6.5 mids (custom pods) in each, with one tweet in the sail bezel and one in the A pillar firing toward the windshield. Also the center placement (track 12) seems really wide. Should her voice sound focused right in the center? Not to come from left or right but REALLY wide.... When the left, center, & right voices play back & forth it sounds better. Just really wide when only testing for center... Is it suppose to sound like this? What are some good songs for checking center imaging?
I apologize for all the questions .... this was bugging me for awhile now and once I say this thread.... lol

I havent read your whole post, but it sounds like you have some reflection and frequency steering issues. It's a very common problem. All of the images in your car should be pin point if it's set up properly. When someone talks to you, close your eyes. How "big" is their voice? Can you tell where they are coming from? There are lots of referance discs out their that can help you. If you close to one of the up coming SQ shows, I will help you with your problem.

I haven't been to a show since Lindsay, but hope to hit at least one in July. I'll see which one I can make it to and hopefully you'll be going to also. I'll let ya know. THANKS again.
