i also have a 13.5'' JL W7 brand new never used wich one shold i install?!
i wanted to put the JL in a 2.40 CF box after all displacements including port

Use the 15 in the proper air space and try to tune it into the low 30's.

so the JL is cleaner only thing is its dual 1.5 can i run each voice coil to one side of the amp so each VC gets its own term?
i was thinking of putting it in a 2.40Cf after port and driver displacements and tune it to 30hz i think i could out do the 15 re
and plus the w7 is brand spanking new got it as a gift from my dad

If you already have a W7 than use that. There shouldn't be a huge difference. The RE might be +3dB efficient and handle more power. If you can fit 5 cubes for the RE, I don't think you could get louder with a 13W7.

Would your Dad consider adopting another son??.....just wondering....

That amp will be a very good match power-wise for the JL sub if you series the coils....If you put the sub in the high-output box JL recommends for it, you should get tons of high quality sound out of that combo.

You may get louder with the RE, which one sounds better will be up to your ears.....

thanks every1 for all the input!
now i also have another quick question,
because the 13w7 is dual 1.5 can i hook each side of the voice coil to each terminal on the amp?
its a MB quart discus DSC2000.1d 2000w rms
single channel
but its got 2 + terms and 2 - terms now hooking each vc to its own hook up make my final load 0.75ohms or just 1.5? or should i just parallel it and run it at 3 ohms!? im confused on that

your backwards, putting the coils in series, eg like batteries, negative to positive you will add the impedance's. doing red to red and black to black (parallel) will divide the impedance's in half so like you said 0.75 which I dont think you amp would like too much, (yes for the advances guys that it will be fine with rise etc) but it will sound cleaner at 3ohms and a 12w7 in a ported box gets pretty damn loud.

yes thats true,
well the amp it self has plenty of rms to run at .75ohm or 3 ohms, so im just going to be safe and run it at 3 ohms for now and see but i will experiment with .75 first.
i wanna put the 13w7 in a ported box built to specs double on all walls to 1.5'', plan on using 3/4mdf
2.40cf after port and sub displacement.
tuning of 30 hz, im starting on the box next sat so ill post some pics for you guys.
thanks!
