If you want to keep the price lower check out the Focal 21V2 8" subs - still a great sounding woofer... and just a bit cheaper than the $1500 Utopia's - coming in at $379 each

I think someone above quoted a 21V1 above, think they ment the 21V2 so hence my post to clarify

Go see your local Focal dealer for more info...

I may try to get a pair of 21wx's on ebay an use sealed enclosures. How would that compare to a single one running ported? Would a single one running sealed not give me enough bottom end?

Phil? Justin? Jason? Dennis?

But yeah, if you want amazing SQ then the WX is the way to go, but again the price tag is hefty.

There's other brands that I've tried that are quite good also.

Hertz, Dyn Audio, Morel.

More cost effective and acceptable SQ brands to consider Image Dynamics, CDT, Diamond.

I'm sure there's plenty others, but these are just ones I've had experience with.

If you're looking SQ and still have an eye on the Focal, check out the 21V1 in the polyglass line. Still a great sounding sub, tighter than the JL by far.

i actually have my utopia be no.7 set matched to 2 8W7's. the 8"s are quite tight if i do say so myself. however i am curious about trying some 21WX's myself. would be nice to fun all focal speakers.......i have the 13WS's too but i haven't finished my kick panels to hear what they sound like yet....
