^^ different strokes for different folks. I've also heard the XR series by JL and there wasn’t anything that stood out to me. I in fact heard the XR speakers in JL's 300C demo car at ces and the speaker was muddy (mid base distorted) all around unimpressive. Not sure about the rest of there line up, as I said I'm not sure how the ZR's are, they may well be great but I haven't heard them yet.
What’s with the bull**** arguments all the time? If I wanted to bash a company I wouldn’t pick one so popular so that every JL fan out there could put in their 2 cents.

Best sounding at CES? They were in a display box at CES. Not yet released as I was told. Maybe the rep I spoke to in their booth was misinformed, as was I at that time.

No sense arguing, I like everyone has an opinion on a product. Guess it’s a matter of what you’re comparing them to.

For the record I never said they don't sell speakers, I said I'm not sure if there a speaker company YET..( as in there not known for there speakers ) however I did compliment them on what they are known for.

I highly doubt most people would infer that JL aren't "known" for their speakers from your statement that JL is "not" a speaker company. You did not type what you meant.

"But, you can still build speakers in Germany... all of our XR's and ZR's are built there."
Direct comment from : http://www.carsound.com/cgi-bin/UBB_...ile;u=00000029

So JL has there speakers Made by MB Quart, Or MBQuart/MAXXSONICS now I guess. So you get to buy Mb Quart speakers rebadged instead of just buying MB quart speakers at Future shop or whom every sells them these days.
Pin head< guess the name says it all, know your **** before your square off.
" p.s. i sell there speakers quite regular

This wasn’t a fight I wanted, I only had my opinion.
