Kenwood KGC-9044 Equalizer

What are people's experiences with this single DIN EQ unit? Does it produce good sound quality? Is it lacking some features that other EQs might have?

Here is a link to the description of the unit:
http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/stock01/kgc9044.asp

I bought the unit several years ago and am considering using it in my new setup. I will be using it to EQ my new focal 165 k2p's powered by the focal 2.150. I want to make sure this unit is 'worthy' of the speakers, or if I will notice a degradation in SQ by using the unit.

well you could just try it. As long as you don't sense a difference or a degradation in sq...use it. I had one years ago, and I liked it a lot, graphic eq's are nice to have close by for moods, type of music, recording anomalies, etc... As i recall, that one had a parametric sub eq and other goodies. Nice little unit and I didn't notice any additional noise or artifacts when i had mine.
