have it all back-strapped and together
, and have the base's mounting figured out. Or we can do that when i get there.. Also have 1/4" dowels and hot glue handy. Mmmmm hot glue...
Love hot glue but the key is using the RIGHT glue sticks. The clear ones from CT are garbage. The yellow ones are a little better but still very stringey and gooey especially when working in the cramped confines of a kick panel and you're trying to get the gun and glue in there, then get the dowel in there before the glue tries, get the obligatory burns from the still-hot glue on your fingers and all while keeping the kick angle. Setting up kicks are FUN! The black glue you can't get from CT is good stuff. Where do you get the black stuff anyway?
Yes, backstraps are your friend when setting things up. They act like a third arm. Bend two of them in a U shape, attach the ends to the kick baffle and the back of the kick that will attach to the car. Now your baffle is hung by the backstraps. It helps to suspend it while changing angles. They are flexible enough to change things around but stiff and strong enough to keep their shape and support the weight of the drivers in the baffle.
Or, put them in whatever way you want, buy a PXA-H900 and hit the "Fix Everything" button. Done

Or does anybody have suggestions for aiming my Diamond Audio M6 5.25" components in my Fiero?
