Cool

the kicker 6x9 has a dome tweeter from their component line,it is quite durable, and sounds pretty good for a 6x9.kicker also gives a real rms power rating .i'm into component sets myself, but let your ears decide which sounds better

i actually prefer clarion speakers... as for subs, thats another story... i was choosing between the two and ended up with the clarion... saved a decent ammount of money, and bought a clarion amp for those speakers... sounds great...

i ended up with the 6x9s you are looking at, but took 6.5 components for the front... then only thin i dislike is their lack of decent x-overs (at the store i was visiting anyways)

Kicker makes some great speakers (especially subwoofers, but I really liked the sound of some of their components). I've never heard clarion full range speakers, so I cant really comment, but I've always thought of clarion as more of a HU specialist in the past, than a speaker manufacturer.

From a quality perspective, both companies make quality products. If you are still shopping around, I would see if you can get a demonstration of each model you like. Specifications really do not say much about how the speakers will sound, and they are rarely apples to apples comparisons.

Hello Melissassm I'm here in the Sault too. I would do my shopping at the shop on Trunk Rd not downtown. I like the service I got from the ppl there. The ones downtown looked down thier noses at me as soon as I said "BUDGET and self-install"! The other guys were more than helpful and had some great ideas to save me time and money.
