I just learned about this product. It uses a patented psychoacoustics signal processing algorithm to make your speakers sound like they play more then an octave lower, without increasing peak power or speaker excursion.

I just started playing one with great skeptisism and it has impressed me.............it really does make the bass sound better and more realistic...................at first I thought "oh great, another Epicenter/basscube"............but it actually works..................

For more info check out the home page for the product.............

EDIT ***We got the one in the show room hooked up, WOW..............it's nice.............haven't tried it on mids yet, but I can see it making a difference cause when you click the mid switch the sub sound like a tighter midbass.

Any one want to check it out, come on by ***

Sounds like they're playing with harmonics and phase to simulate the low notes....they don't really get into specifics, but if harmonics can be generated from fundamental notes, why not go backwards and add some waves together to produce lower sine waves.

It makes the listener believe they are hearing notes that are physically not there = that's what psychoacoustics mean, right?

So what it sounds like (no pun intended) is they combine the two door speakers to work with the subwoofer or with each other to create new waves from ones that physically come out of the speakers?

Also, because this is all in your head, I assume it will not show up on let's say an RTA?

I found my own answer...you can use it for either...reviews on the web site seem to indicate that it does more for satellites than it does for subs...would love to hear one.

Hmmm I wonder if it would make my kick-panel mounted 7" midbass sound more like a 10" sub?
