John, if you remember the car behind me and diagonal (Jamie Glover's car) at finals. It had the maxx bass prototype unit of that in it. Tim is right it actually does work. Defro I'm pretty sure you trust my opinion to the fact that it does what it claims. I played with his car for about 45 mins fiddling with it on and off and not only does it draw the stage forward on a rear bass heavy vehicle but as tim said it does it with no extra excursion. What was a pain was getting it to image properly once it was up there. It made vocals really bleed a bit wider than I would like but this again was with his install so I never got to play with it in my car

I got a chance to hear the demo car (Nir Paz, the Morel guy now works for Waves came by). Waves owns the technology, makes lots of pro audio stuff. This technology was a no brainer for car (its used in computer speakers and stuff like that where getting good bass is tough).
It worked great to my ears, seems to be worth the price of admission.

It created funny humps at the higher fzs when I used it. But it makes 6x9s sound like a million bucks!

Was there not some similar processor setup like this in Wayne Harris' Terminator?
[snip]"The synthesizer is necessary for this system because of the ability of the subwoofers to reproduce extremely low frequencies," Harris said. "Most recordings, even on CDs, have very little program information below 50Hz. Since there is nothing there, an EQ can't boost it. The synthesizer takes all program material from 55 to 100 Hz and recreates this information one octave lower."[/snip]
