midrange and tweeters selection ?

I just ordered two Peerless SLS 6.5" Woofer for my doors, now I need 4" midrange for my kicks and tweeters for my highs. now I'm not too sure what frequencies to look for in a midrange or tweeter, do I need some overlap in frequencies? and if so how much .. any suggestions?

thanks

it's all about preference and speaker capability. For a 4" mid I'd think 1k to 4-4.5K, tweet 4-4.5k on up should work. Maybe some of the SQ active guys that run 4"ers might have more precise input to offer.

I run a set of 3.5" dyns from 400 up to 6k.

Currently, these are kick mounted with tweets in the As.
I run the mids over a pretty wide range so I can get the "meat" of male and female vocals from a single driver without having to contend with phase issues at the XO point.

Thats an interesting frequency range for a 3.5".... but hey if it works for ya. Makes it easier on the midbass & tweets.

Yeah, Dyn rates them from 200 up to 7k on axis (red line). I wanted to increase the power handling a little (200W @250Hz LPF) so I run them from 400 on up with a steep LF cutoff.
