midrange and tweeters selection ?

I own the sls6.5's as well, and with a steep slope you can get away with playing them as high as 250-300hz.

mine were mated with seas excel 4.5's and they worked well together.
my doors just couldn't handle the sls and have since been changed out, I kinda miss them.

A lot of good suggestions in this thread. the excels can be heard at finals as well.

the seas excel 4.5' are too much for me right now though if I wanna get this in my car before winter. but there's always next summer

Solen only has one left so I guess it doesn't help much

Since your SLS are 8ohm, I don't see why you would be worried about the other components being 8ohms.

they are 4 ohm not 8 ohm.

ya I'll keep comming back to this thread for updates and probly a bunch more questions like this one..lol
do I need to band pass these SLS 6.5"(pretect from lower frequencies with some kind of coil) or just cut the high frequencies going in with my amplifiers LPF ?

I wasn't aware that any of the SLS line was available at 4ohm. Where did you get it? Madisound?
