Morel Elate Speakers

They are good competition for the Focal, Dynaudio, Renaissance, and Zapco comp sets. They sound great right out of the box, easier to get sounding good in a car than much of whats out there.
Oh yeah they are shallow, so they can fit in a door easier

Elates are a great sounding speaker. They are considered to be one of the smoothest and detailed amongst the the rest of the audiophile speakers out there. I have heard them both on a board and in a car, and they are truly a nice sounding speaker. I find that they tend to be a little more laid back than the Focal stuff, but nevertheless I like them. Try to get a listen for yourself and decide if that is what you want versus the Focal option. I'm not too sure on pricing, but Tim could answer that for you. Good Luck!

I agree, I find the SQ of Morel to have a seamless transition between Bass, Mid, High. Unlike many speakers Morel's don't seem to have the colouration that other brands have, which may make them sound more impressive for the first 15-20 min, but it's after you turn down the volume on others that you realize how coloured they are.
