My Finished SQ install.
because you are so experimented i have soem question for you.
i have curently an active carpc setup.
i would like to buy another 7.1 sound card to get the chanels a i want.
now i have the tweeter cdt es-010 in the a pillar ...cdt es-04 mid range under the grils on the dash...
and two pair of es-06 (Midbass) in the doors.
i would lik to kno if adding another 4 inch es-04 in kick pannel and another tweeter in the kick panell too...would make my system have a better staging. and better listening.
will my stage 's going to be larger?...
will i see a diference in term of sq?
all the setup will be active like now
thanks

Generally I like to think the fewer speakers you use the better. Adding more product wont make your car better, just more complicated to control.
In my car, the 4" mid is doing almost all the work. It is playing from 100Hz to 14,000Hz. Which make my job easier from a tuning perspective.
I'm not sure what you mean by bigger? Do you mean make your stage wider? OR do you me add more ambience?

In general, a sound stage will not extend past the furthest speaker, because of the speaker. When you get a sound stange that extends past the speaker I would say it has more to do with reflections than anying else. The same holds true for ambience (mostly reflection based). You can help increase width and ambience simply by angling your speakers in different directions. Depending on what reflective surfaces you have around the speaker will help determine the stang width and such.
I change my crossover points all the time. Currently my sub is playing up to 50Hz, my midbass are bandpassed from 40Hz to 120Hz, you know where the mids are set and the tweeters start at 10Khz.
I play with this all the time. Some things get better while other may not.

I would like to think that its finished. But there are always changes happening. I'm getting more involved with acoustics and how to control the environment in a sound system right now. Tricky stuff, but I hope the work is worth it in the end. I dont plan to make any physical changes to the car, but the sound should get better.
