^^I think the guy said under $400.00. Try Infinity, JBL, Alpine, Polk are nice, Clarion, pioneer etc...As for the rear, if no one sits in the back and you don't like rear fill then disconnect them, otherwise keep them for now and experiment. There's nothing wrong with your Alpine amp(they're good and sound as good as any other 50x2 amp), plus you can always upgrade later if you feel you need more power. Always remember, you are on a car audio board and most of these guys are into very high end stuff that most people could care less about. Low/mid range for most of them is 600.00 a set. There's nothing wrong with the stuff at best buy or future shop or any dealer as long as you like the way they sound.

Fusion FC-65 in the $200 bracket. Another $200 for a decent install, and you'll be very happy.

A good set of comps will be wasted if you don't have the install to support them.

^^very true, why spend 1000.00 on comps when you're just going to throw them into a door's stock location with little or no sound deadening? To get the maximum performance out of these super components requires money, skill, knoledge, and some patience. Hence, the suggestions of popular, decent brands under 350.00, that still sound good to 98.76435% of the human population. Get out there and use your ears!!!

hi eunos..
i have a pair of morel 6.5's
they are very clean, and the price was right.

i don't know who would carry them in the toronto area , if you can find them , they are worth a listen >the crossover and tweeters are amazing.

if you are placing the tweeters into an area with some depth, you have to see some of the tweeters >at the following site:

the statement about Focal being in the 400+ range is not totally true. the new lineup called Access 1 comes in at about 370 for the 6.5" components.

Most of the focal tweeters i have heard, more so in the lower models like the TN 37 tweet in the access coaxials are to bright/harsh for me, cant stand those "S" sounds they hurt. Once i went silk i cant go back. (and to think I started off with infinitys SUPER harsh reference)

Now I am running the EDi 6500s, smooth, detailed, and laidback 1" silk tweet, great midbass/midrange response, deaden your doors, similar to CDT HD's output/sound. Awsome off-axis response too.

Their about $300 canadian with free shipping.
EDi 6500s review from PAS

I reasearched for 6 months, and i could not be more happy with my choice, awsome SQ set. My best advice is to listen to as many sets as you can, your ears wont lie to you, but sales ppl and forums will.

Also your gonna need more than 50x2 watts in my opinion for a good set, 85 - 150 =

I have CDT EF-61CF (I think that's the model #?) and have been very happy with them. They sound decent with a minimal amount of power too
