Need help finding the perfect 12inch sub

dont take ofence to this but perhaps you should stop reading and start listening to the speakers you are interested in. opinions and non listening research will only get you so far, for instance at the finals this year, cars that won used, nakamichi, db drive, jbl, jl audio, focal, and kicker subwoofers, and those are the ones that i remember, you can make practically any good and some that arent considered by some to be any good at all sound good or in some cases great

Both the IDQ and the IDMAX are awesome. But the best thing to do is to listen to them and/or others as well.
The only danger there is ensuring that it's been installed properly with the right enclosure. I've heard subs that should really sound amazing (because I've heard them before) and they ended up sounding like total azz because of a bad install.
I should have a pair of IDMAX 12" installed in my car in the next little while....... if I ever get around to finding the time to do so. Once it's up and running, I'd be more then happy to demo it for you. But once again, take the advice above and listen to as much stuff as you can before making your choice.
