This article has the answer. It gets a bit complicated near the end. It has to do with standing waves, resonance, cancellation, harmonics and modes.
No, the cabin pressure isn't really enough to restrict the motion of the woofer. What restricts the motion of the woofer alot more is the small amount of sealed air behind the woofer.
