Hey guys, I have somewhat of a dilema.

My pioneer HU was stolen a while ago, and I am just now getting some time to start looking for a new one.

I have decided to get the DVA-9860, coupled with the PXA-H701, or the Pioneer P9 combo. I have played around with the 9860, but I am not sure if it's right for me. My main reason for getting that one was the optical out, because if I go alpine the PXA-H701 is a must.

for those who have either setup, (alpine combo, or the P9 combo) what are your opinions. I am leaning towards the alpine setup, but I am not that happy with choosing the 9860 but I need the optical out.

I want to stick to a conventional HU, as in no flip out screen or anything like that. all your advice would be greatly appreciated.

regards, Mark

exactly.

I was just wondering if there were any other alpine option in that price range of the 9860 that had optical?

thanks for the advice guys...
