Ok lets not call this a review but a first impression...

So first thing my amp (PDX1.1000) have some conflict of personality with this sub because if wire at 2ohms the amp will go into protect if push a bit... Anyways I'm running it at 8ohms so it should see around 500w.

Here's the box (0,5cuft, stuffed with 0,75 lbs poly)
New SI BM mkIII-bmbox.jpg

So the first hour wasn't that great with the amp going into protect, but as soon I switched it to 8 ohms it was a different story. So initially the output was less than my current 10" IDMAX, but the sub was transparent and very dynamic, that was more important for me than high SPL. After 2 more hours of play, idk if it psychoacoustics @work or it really loosen up but the output was much better (up to par with the ID). So far i like this sub, but will i replace the ID with it...idk but ill try to install it where my ID is (between the 2 front seats) and see if it's even better since in my van moving the box only by one feet can make a HUGE difference.

I cant believe two can take 3k being rated 500, and pull off that number. I have been off the boards for a while, and if someone had told me that, I would not have believed it, I'd buy that info perhaps with the prior versions, but not the new shallows. Good stuff!!!
