New System Help
Hey Im looking to put a system into my car (VW Golf 93)
I have been running a sony explode setup, 2 12"subs in a large sealed box, 1 set 6*9, front speakers, deck, In a differnt car. But I am just plain tired of it, as it is just not the quality I want.
Im kinda a newb to alot of the car audio scene as any help would be greatly appreciated.
Curently i have been thinking about going with a Rockford Fosgate P3 System, although i might have been misguided with that,
I am looking to spend around 3500$(or so can be flexable), for my complete system and I am not going to be compeating with it but i do want good solid performance.
Curently im thinking:
Rockford Punch 4-Channel Amp (P450.4)
Rockford Fosgate 12" Car Subwoofer P3 (x4)
Sealed Box
Rockford Fosgate 6" x 9" Co-Axial Speakers 75w rms
Rockford 6-1/2" Car Speakers 120w
4 gage amp kit
And im planning on going with a dvd deck
I dont need to stay with all 1 brand, any sugestion on part changing or additions would be helpfull. Thanks.

By the looks of it you are after a system with respectable tonal qualities. A screen is going to eat up a good chunk of your budget, this may affect the investment you have left in the balance of the system if tonal response is a goal. It is the one thing that if you are left on the fence as to whether or not to go with better speakers and a cd or a lesser speaker and the screen, I would head to the better speakers and a basic but respectable cd player. It is far easier to sell the cd player down the road and upgrade to the dvd unit than it is to start changing speakers around.
Is this system going to be self installed or installed at a shop? A good system needs to be built around the vehicle and your needs. This is where the proper choice of equipment comes into play. I would choose equipment for the application, with such a wide range of gear available there is just no limits to what can be done.
