New System - Please Help!

So I'm looking to put together a new system for my car step by step. I'm looking to do more of a mid range system. I don't need the best, but I also can't listen to absolute crap. Right now I'm looking at purchasing a set of Focal 165VB then followed by an amp to drive them. So please, help me out in where I should look.

PS I should note that the budget for the speakers are in and around $400-$450

PSS I should also note it's a 1994 Ford Escort

The Focals are great speakers and would be an excellent choice.

You should also consider Hybrid Audio and Hertz; both brands make budget conscious models without sacrificing great sound quality.

What head unit are you running and are you looking at amplifying the speakers?

Are you running front speakers only? I would recommend the Morel Tempo 6.5 if they fit.
