He he...you do realize how expensive and time consuming rapid prototype work is?

Sell me your car for $1, I'll cover the cost of the Uber-PC speakers.

If for whatever reason they decide to sound good... we'll talk.

Yep, rapid prototyping is quite expensive... however, it's waaaaaaaaaaay cheaper when you have the facilities in house. When I was a student I had some stuff quoted before on SLA/3D Printing/FDM etc... and for a part of this size it'd be near $800 a piece ($1600 for a pair of *****!) for someone else to print for you. I don't think I should be disclosing how much material costs were... I don't want random people asking for prototypes.

I have an older Rotel integrated I can probably use... but chances are I'm going to hook up my old Nakamichi CD45z to a little power supply. That's what... 20watts or so? Less with these 8ohm drivers.

Sorry... unless you'd be willing to pay for associated material fees.

Of course I have no idea how you did that. But I'll learn. And make some funktastic speaker enclosures too!

I'm jealous.

Looks really cool by the way.
Hahaha, nope, not hiring... but you can make some funktastic speaker enclosures anywhere! Thanks for the comments! 8)

Office comps are Dual Xeons of some sort... running 64bit. But honestly this can be done on any current POS computer. Through school I ran this program (SolidWorks) off a P4 3.0GHz (pre Core Duo/Core2/etc).... perhaps a bit sluggish, it still gets the job done.

Pods will probably be sanded, filled and prepped for some paint this weekend.

Now if I could only get some work done on my car... :S
