may sound stupid but i have found that i am no good at this crap (Office politics)
any one know any thing about it, basically how to be an *** in the work place/bad mouth every one/have your head up the boss`s *** and stil come out smelling like roses ?????

^ He's right. You need to keep the game straight or it all comes crashing down but you have to try to be on everyones side at once [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
And kissing up to the boss is always good - just don't let anyone else see it or you're toast. Hell I took up cigar smoking at one job cuz the boss did and went from an new hire to manager of a multimillon dollar branch in 9months.

Either be everybodies friend as mentioned above or do not get involved whatsoever. No in-betweens. Won't work. I work in the consulting engineering biz and I'm lucky in that the only office games that go on are, of course, in the admin dept. where there is the most women. And I am not in that dept. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Doesn't matter if your responsibility or not, if it will make you look good just do it. Don't take **** from people, just kick some ***. When somebody comes to you with a problem, get on that ****ing phone and solve it ASAP.
