Old Hifonics Odin for the Sub?
#1
Just wondering what the experts think a Hifonics Odin of 75W/Ch @4ohms would handle a ten inch sub in small box? Also, how would a 4 ch 135 watt Hifonics Europa handle sending all it's power to front 6.5 inch components. Are 4 ch amps happy feeding just two speakers?
Also, I have heard that Hifonics really suck up some amperage from the alternator. Would a 120 amp alt be happy powering these two ?
Thanks,

oh boy, those are some nice old school amps!!
they should both do a fine job for the average consumer (level wise) and are both EXCELLENT products sound wise. that europa is a seriously packed amplifier... if you get a chance, open it up... its jammed with quality components inside!
your alternator should be just fine.
as for the 10 inch sub, makesure the box is built close to spec ('small box' says very little about anything... find out what size the sub needs and make sure the box needs it). if you have concerns, post up model numbers and i'm sure you'll get a hand.
the Europa will be more than fine bridged into those components as long as they are 4 ohm or higher in impedence.
